Jane. Poem by Lor Starr

Jane.

I saw the light in your eyes

And I never looked back

You're the wind in my willow

I'm the bones that you crack

We were chasing suns

Getting lost in the process

Your desperate need

For more than me

Was bittersweet contrast

I'll tell you my story

If you'll bear yours

Of love and of glory

Of thunder and gore

And as much as I've missed you

We will never be more

Than a couple of shadows

And my musings on your floor.

An insightful depiction of the whimsical and temperamental nature of love nicely brought forth from the heart. Thanks for sharing Lauren.
