Jayanta Mahapatra As A Poet Of Silence, Bewitching Silence

Rating: 5.0

Jayanta
A poet of silence
Bewitching, mesmerizing.

The dark daughter in the hamlet
Against the hill
Sitting in the courtyard.

The summer full of heat,
Crocodiles deep into the river,
Mantras and rites continuing

Jayanta a poet of silence
Silence so bewitching, mesmerizing
Be it of morn, day, eve.
