Jealousy Poem by Rachel Flint

Jealousy

I knew I had her,
She was smitten.
The old charm had worked again,
She couldn’t leave even if she wanted to.

But then…
Truth be told – I got bored.
I had tamed her and she turned into a frump.
Day after day she became human like all the others.

But then…
She met a ‘big wig’,
Who spirited her away to land over water;
The chase began again.

Courting – the great aphrodisiac.
