My son is 20 months
He loves music
Were on the floor
He’s dancing round me
He doesn’t care
He’s squeezing my heart
He squeezes it to bits
He says it’s like jelly dad
Look it’s all in bits.
We scrape them up
And eat them
Now I’m whole
And I have to go
He wants to play
With bricks.
How much joy is present in this poem, for their is no greater joy then the love we receive from our little ones and how wonderful to see a Dad express those feelings while rushing back to savor every blessed moment while 'ye can. Beautiful poem David, you have your priorities straight on, an admirable trait. marci xo
I love this - and Tara's spotted it: how well the rhythm and flow match the occasion!
Fast-paced like the attention span of a wee one.... so cute D! And well penned. t x
Aren't our little ones wonderful? I enjoyed this loving poem, and the humour at the end. Great read, David. Love, Fran xxx

Written from the reverse point of view, you could have had 'Jelly Tots'? Nice one David. Danny
