Jemuel Poem by Leslie Alexis

Jemuel

How difficult it is for a mama to say goodbye,

To the dearest of her gifts, her own child

Born in the morn, and taken in the night

The child's face pleased his mother's sight:

Jemuel - is his angelic name,

God took him back in loving arms, the same,

As that which holds the world in place,

"Jem boy", you go to heaven—a better place.

Even though your time with us was very short

Jemuel, you are now, and always in our hearts.

We love you Jemuel.
