Jesus Committed Suicide Poem by Jason Cain

Jesus Committed Suicide

Where are you now, now that Judas has your heart and Peter's fallen asleep on your lap? Where are you now that humanity is an echo in the mind and the angels shed only tears?

Jesus, killed by his own love, has gone off to commit suicide in the name of religion and I did not wait by his side, but fled to the Mount of Olives and wept.

Shadows which come on the wind disguised as lovers, wandering aimlessly and strangling the seed of birth, and the lovers still fight it out in a room where justice is a broken door.

Even Mother Teresa's lost, she wanders among the streets weeping over the children she loved, caught now in despair's deadly trap.

In elated revelation eternity sings its song and one too easily loses one's humanity and with passion I dance on the floor of silent mysteries with Divinities melodious delight.

The thorn is driven into love's center and a burden of pain must be carried, my song is lost in the scream and the shadows that surround Faith's light.

Despair has the mystic lost in its hopelessness. Shadows smoother the light and rip open Faiths heart. "Glory, glory, " despair cries as we flee this way and that.
