Midnight hour chimes
And all is quiet in cold night air
When far off in darkness
Sound of jingling bells.
Children are sleeping, dreaming,
Christmas morn with presents
Family and friends, love overwhelming.
On the bedside table, mince pie for Santa.
Urging his reindeer flying above the town
Pulling sleigh laden with presents
Hurrying with many children to visit
Before his night's work is done.
