Joey And Jett Poem by Hubert Wilson

Joey And Jett

On to the terrace Joey did confidently stroll.
As usual his ego, and that of others, in his absolute control.
Casually looking about.
Like a stalking predator in silent scout.
His eyes coolly surveying the festive scene.
That look from a film noir movie screen.
Ignoring all with that insensitive stare.
What did he care?

Then, in walked long legged glistening, sensual Jett.
Ever so slowly, Joey began to fret.
Not even briefly glancing his way.
His game she knew how to more adeptly play.
Her simmering ember eyes
Made his temperature begin to rise.
Embarrassed as he ineptly fell off his bar stool.
Joey became the ultimate ego shattered feline fool!

Men and cats are so easily 'whipped'!
