I can't hear my pulse and my heart is failing me,
Because my lover left me last night;
He's gone and he left me in the cold without a word.
Oh Joseph! Why have you left me so soon in the cold?
For i cared for you and i do have my hope in you,
And your absence is like a shock to me.
