We may wear pretty dancing shoes on our feet,
Smile all the while, acting ever so sweet,
But if true emotion speaks not to the heart
How can we play a 'Josephine' part?
True beauty we know, shines from the soul,
Beyond silken gowns and coiffures of gold,
And if icy cold thoughts perish the heart,
We will never play that 'Juliet' part.
