Christmas Eve
Night cold and crisp
Snow falling thick and fast
Sky glittering with stars.
Children lay abed
Trying to stay awake
Wanting to see Santa Clause
Hearing jingling sleigh bells.
At Midnight Mass
Faithful gather in churches
Celebrating birth of Jesus
Praying for world peace.
