Judgment Day Poem by Mario, Lucien, Rene Odekerken

Judgment Day

The air is heavy, thick wit silence,
a moment stretched beyond time's grasp.
No echoes of laughter, no whispers of hope-
only the weight of everything you tried to forget.

Your name, once yours, is now a verdict,
carved into the space between light and shadow.
There is no plea, no argument,
only the reckoning of a life spent
building walls against the inevitable.

Fear is not a distant ghost now;
it breathes against your skin,
fills your lungs,
roots itself where certainty once lived.

You stand,
not in the presence of mercy,
but in the absence of excuses.
Life-once a currency you spent carelessly-
has become a debt you cannot repay.

And as the weight of all your yesterday
presses down on your shaking frame,
You finally understand:
there is no bargaining with truth.
