July 4th Poem by by her

Dear lover,
I’m writing to you this letter.
Hoping that deep in your heart,
I’ll always be a part,
A part of your wholeness,
And a part of your giftedness.

Loving someone,
Someone like you,
You know, it was never easy to do.
But life has its options,
And its options were in the right position.

It brought me somewhere,
Somewhere out of nowhere,
And I suddenly realized,
I’m standing next to you.

At first I was hesitant,
Because I felt, you were not what I wanted.
Then I found in my heart,
That it was true.
You were not what I really wanted,
Rather, you are someone that I badly needed.

I never noticed this at first,
Until I felt that hunger and thirst.
I opened my mind,
And I realized your worth.
All these happened on the day of July 4th.
