Just A Dream Poem by Katherine Perry

Just A Dream

Far beyond reality
Even more than what it seems
There is a place I'd rather be
That I found in just a dream

Through ordinary fatigue
I shall lay my head down
For only when I'm asleep
Reality is where I'll be found

Have you ever had a dream
That for once made sense
Does it take you to where you've never seen
Then wake up to find yourself drenched

I could try to describe one hundred times
A place where no one has ever been
A place where everything is mine
A place before now I could only pretend

Still I remain puzzled as to how a dream could be completed
Where there is no beginning and where there is no ending
When it is your own dream that you have defeated

Dreams are usually forgotten by the time the sun does rise
Leaving the day to try and remember
What happened in the middle of the night

For far beyond reality
Even more than what it seems
There is a place I'd rather be
That I found in 'Just a dream'!
