Just Another Rainy Day Poem by Holly Somer

Just Another Rainy Day

Stuck inside, no sun in the sky
Nothing to do but stare out the window hoping it would go
This rain is unpredictable
we don't know when it will end
I say on the phone with a friend
Soon we see a rainbow form pushing the clouds back
The light comes out of the crack of the blinds
As we loook both thinking in our heads
We say that is was just another rainy day
Nothing is keeping us in now
Burst the door open chasing the sun
running laps ahead of the others after the shotgun
Shocking me in my inner spirit
Too bad I'm the only one who hears it
Glad to say it was just another rainy day
Comming and going thats what is was
Bumming out all of us, extremley bored and empty headed
When it comes back we all will dread it
Let's do this first
plan some indoor fun
So when the rain comes back everyone will be ok
Saying that it was just another rainy day
