Just Do Not Take Away A Muse... Poem by Julie Anjani

Just Do Not Take Away A Muse...

What kind of trial took place some time ago?
Which article of Code has been violated by me?
Most honorable Judge, I have the right to know
Whether my words or looks are regarded as coquetry?

Far from thinking I am any bad, even to an foe.
My soul is true to conscience and honor in reality.
It just dared, being alive, in the feelings' flow
To sail away for its dream to a taboo locality.

Well, then, pass a sentence. Despite my deep sorrow,
I'll accept any verdict humbly, since I am called guilty.
I'll even part with dream, if you will decide so.
Just do not take away a Muse, for the sake of poetry...
