Just Our Imagination Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Just Our Imagination

I can't understand you
I've given you signals
You didn't seem to follow
Every moment is so beautiful
It often feels like a dream
You send all the right signs
but turn them off like a switch
out of curiosity, where do we stand?
When you read between the lines
Everything tends to go further left
You might chase someone away
by not meeting the hearts basic need
Not moving fast, not moving slow
but when somewhere in the middle
Someone will often get hurt
with matters of the heart
there's always a cost
Lets not think much of the rules
It can sometimes get confusing
If the well continues to flow
we can give love another go
