Just Remember To Ask The Moon Poem by Mark Heathcote

Just Remember To Ask The Moon

Love is a divinity.
Like looking at a full moon
And holding on to you another way
Sure, it's all new
I can't say I've ever felt this way.
It's like holding on to a reflection.
That's always drifting away.
But just for a second
A moment I am blown away.
I can hold it just the same way.
The invisible holds the full moon in the dark.
Sure, it's all new
My arms around you
Knowing the Tidal Sea pulls me to you.
Love is a divinity of sorts.
Like looking at a full moon
And holding on to you another way
Sure, it's all new
But I wouldn't have it any other way.
And if you don't believe me
Just remember to ask the moon.
