Justice Or Magic Show Poem by soren Barrett

Justice Or Magic Show

The hangman hooded for anonymity, execution by decree, ordered and condoned by royalty
Prisoner restrained, executed by one trained while the crowd is entertained its necessity explained
The king won't take a stand, all this planned, evidence canned, gone with a wave of a magicians hand

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
When responsibility is denied by officials or passed down the ladder it is highly suspect. For a leader there are only two possibilities. One: that he is unaware of what is going on beneath him, in which case he is incompetent and not worthy to rule or two: condones what brutal and savage acts occur under him and is therefore malevolent and a tyrant and not fit as a ruler. Consider a man elected on a platform of resolving immigration and realizing it an impossible task to deport millions of people. Solution for a few collateral deaths publicized in the media the nation will consider it too heavy a cost and he is off the hook resigning to public demand. At the same time the fear of entering such a violent nation will deter future immigrants.
