Kali, how Her Vishwalila,
I do not know it
The myth of Kali,
I can just Her Play,
How the image of Hers,
Kali, Mahakali,
How She the Creational Stuff!
Kali,
Mahakali,
Kali Kalyani,
Kalrupa,
Mythical, Mystical Attribute
Of the Creation,
Kali dreadful not
But blissful.
Kali,
The Dark Goddess
Dark and black,
The tongue is out of the lips,
Hair is waist-long,
And she is wearing
A necklace of demons slain
And wreathed into,
Traditional arms into
Four hands of Hers,
The crescent is by the side of her face,
She is anger
As unable to control
Has cut the heads of sinners
And Shiva is trampled under
Her one leg.
Kali,
Kali the Dark Goddess,
I saw Her statue
Representing the myth of Creation,
The night of death, darkness and doom,
Cataclysmic Doom,
The Mother of Creation,
But how to pray to Her
Keeping lust, anger, greed, infatuation for at bay?
Kali
Kal-vikral Kali,
Kal-rupa,
Dreadful Kali,
Supernatural, nocturnal Kali,
Tantrical Kali,
Kali bizarre and grotesque,
Kali as Austro-Asiatic Divine Being,
One representing the tribesman clan,
Kali ethnic, racial, tribal, aboriginal.
To worship Kali is not to talk
Of animal sacrifice and bloody offering,
Is to keep the tumultous mind at bay,
Is to go by and balance with logic and reason
Even though faith is myhthical, mystical
And leading to superstitious practices.
Kali
An idol of Kali
Dark black
Looking strange
With the tongue out of lips
Held in shame
As for trampling Shiva underneath
Unknowingly
And he laid down
To quell Her Divine Anger
In doing mass cleansing
Of demons, devils and sinners
On earth.
Mother in a strange fit of anger,
Her Anger Divine, in a rage of Her Own,
Blood dribbling from Her tongue,
It seems to be
With a sword and other weapons into Her hands
She wearing a garland of heads
Hanging around,
A fatal, venomous snake
And Her hair waist-long
Standing strangely
Beyond the comprehension of the earthly folks.
