Kampala Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Kampala

A visit to Kampala in Uganda,
There in view to search for my lover;
However, i had words to sorrow like the bull.
Oh Somanya! Those were the days that i was young;
But now i am in Kampala looking for my lover.
I need to walk with the heart of the lion,
And to see with the eyes of the eagle;
For my lover is in the midst of the people.
