Karma Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Karma

Rating: 5.0

Luckily by chance…
A spare one is lying around
Catching my glance
In plain sight on the ground

Ignoring isn’t a logical conclusion
So, I snatch it up with delight
It is for real, not an illusion
Now it is mine, I excitedly recite

It must be a day of good fortune
But then again…someone lost it
I feel much richer…in proportion
As I put it in my pocket

Then one day, while walking to the store
I am possessing four one dollar bills
To buy candy; vanilla chocolate flavor
Mentally unwrapping sweetness that thrills

At the counter, my jacket pockets I explore
I discover that the money has disappeared
It seems that karma is balancing the score
Somewhere, a lucky stranger is giving a cheer
