Karma Come Quick Poem by Michelle Asswit

Karma Come Quick

We all resent something until we get it
We all love money until we spend it
We all play games but when we finally lose
We don't like to play the games we don't choose
And I know I want my happiness
I know that I have no regrets
And my karma should come soon
but until it does I guess I'll make it thru

I've walked a long road
I know all there is to know
but why do I keep on screwing up?
I paint a pretty picture
but the canvas is dirty
And I want karma to hurry

I've done my bad things
but I've done some good things
and I've been ugly
with nothing on me
And I pretend to laugh
When I'm really crying
and when it comes down to it
There is no point in denying

Why do we do good things
Just to have it returned to us?
Does that make me a bad person?
Don't wanna do something dangerous

I've walked a long road
I know all there is to know
but why do I keep on screwing up?
I paint a pretty picture
but the canvas is dirty
And I want karma to hurry
