Katari Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Katari

Katari

Reynaga, as last name
-can be found in Andes;
-with secret in belly and brain
-and lot of history, not-written.

The Thomas Katari was Casique
- (A leader in Quechua and Huari.)

He did best to live and to fight with
-brutal behaving agents of Spanish…

"Katari" means thunder and current
-as well as the snake and serpent.

Thomas walked long distance
-ended in Buenos Aires;
- (To fight the Viceroy of Lima, complain!)

With judgement in his hand
-he lost life and proud…

Dictators and looter, brutal
-took his lands, kids and wives
-rest escaped, scattered…

Invader act the same
-always and everywhere!
-Katari was vanished;
-no trace on the Earth…
- (Indian was killed in
-children! ! !)

But blood of righteous
-is the husk and buried
-in desert…

A drop is enough to get life
-Katari, forced to be Reynaga
-grew tall like tree of the vine.
-Another Katari also rose in LaPaz
-as did the Indian; Louis Riel…
