Keep Flying Poem by Stewart Watkins

Keep Flying

Rating: 3.0

To soar like an eagle, high, way high in the sky
To explore spaces and places others fear to go, confident my heart knows why
To be self-assured, directed, focused, and free
To fly above the treetops and overlook 'Mother Earth' and know that I must forever be ME
To learn how to fly above the storms and not against them for they are real
To be smart and take a rest when my wings get heavy but keep my vision on the celestial sky because it's God's will
Flying! Now that's what I was born to do
If I try to do otherwise then I'm through
Oh! Big, beautiful mountains I see coming on the horizon
Keep flying! Now that's the ticket for I must keep rising
Quitting, faltering, hesitating, plummeting.....no, none of this is me
I must keep flying, rising, and soaring for the whole world to see
