Keep me in touch with you my man.
Reach out and say my name.
Say it aloud or whisper it softly.
Let there be no shame.
For shame obliterates the love we feel,
this love we can’t conceal.

Keep me in touch with you my man.
Sing out and tell me true.
Think in your mind or in a verse
what I mean to you.
For words exhilarate the love we share,
this love that’s stripped us bare.

It’s right out front for all to see
for anyone with sight.
And those that miss the whispers or words
Are like stars on a starless night.
So keep me in touch with you my man
and remember how this began.
