Keep Seeing His Silhouette Standing Over Me, Poem by Lorene Kinsey

Keep Seeing His Silhouette Standing Over Me,

Keep seeing his silhouette standing over me,
Peering on from just past the loveseat,
Paranoid that he might catch me,
Read what is on my mind from over my shoulder.
No fighting or lying, no hiding or crying,
I just want to be myself again without intimidation,
Faulty interpretations, scolding for my mind’s reeling,
Heart’s feeling, faith hoping.
Want to be with a love that lets me be inspired
Lets my fingers tap with fire, lets me be me, free,
Without pain or punishment, curious of my inspiration
But not with accusation or suspicion, trusting, loving.
