Keeping Time Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Keeping Time

Skipping to beats of rhythm on musical scores,
keeping time with my heart and calming my soul
with it's elemental distance.

Closing in on brain waves in soothing steps of
raindrops, falling within.

Crackling fires of mirth, burning and searing
words within my mind's grasp, relating them to
music's rhythmic measures of pleasurable tones
and intense feelings.
