Keys Poem by Varghese J Kuttikat

Keys

Rating: 4.5

Sleepy heaviness
Crushes the primary impulse
To linger in memories
Awakening like day-break
That expels darkness.
Sleep no more at least just now
Why this mounting desire
To lapse into sleep premature.
A vast expanse of the sky
Invites the stars to adorn it
With memory-woven, dream-laden Lights
That illuminates and drives human exploit
This illumination sets man free from dungeons
Of all sorts, and offers him the keys to open the Dark Kingdom.
