Kill Nafta Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Kill Nafta

Kill NAFTA

Things have changed, past is dead
No more is all local; our purchase.

Look at the supers' fruits and veggies
Nature-made and machine's
Look at bag in the cart; global.

"No border in trade! "
Thanks to the contracts like NAFTA.
Is it so in its depth?
What about racism, favourites?

Went to buy me gloves
Battery-heating ones
Home-Depot has it but
Not sold to Canada! ! !

The same is true in
Many things and items.

What to say of NAFTA?

Now recall when I worked
As salesman, on the phone
With many I spoke
And heard them complain:
"We raise herd and send them
They come back is package
To be bought times higher…"
"I grow tomato to buy back
Ketchup, but from Heinz …"

I heard of many of Cos:
"I closed…we closed…"
"How can we compete with the Walmart? "
"Many lose their jobs for the few employed! "

Hey Trumps,
You said and we approve,
Pull shutter of NAFTA
Help us win and revive.
