Kindness Spoken Here Poem by Joseph Blitch

Kindness Spoken Here

In the world today; kindness is a vanishing trait;
The skill of being kind we tend to underestimate;
We often say "How are you? " without a true care;
An act; with heart felt emotion; doesn't compare;

Many a family teach hate unaware; first always me;
Jesus; Others; Then myself; even the blind can see;
Coming from the ones heart; a gesture truly sincere;
Now that's a language which even the deaf can hear;

Forget your aches and pains; don't moan and groan;
Get up; out and about; don't just sit home all alone;
When you pass someone smile, wave and say hello;
They see you as being crazy; or they may be mellow;

The genuine smile; that's a random act of kindness;
Can dispatch away someone's depressed emptiness;
Instead of an empty hello; try giving a tender hug;
Might just sweep unforgivable things under the rug;

The language of kindness; signs not words spoken;
True kindness given; a great prize; not just a token;
No matter your nationality; You shall have no fear;
Some word; mostly deed; Kindness is spoken here!
