King Of Beauty Poem by Timber Koleden

King Of Beauty

Glória in excélsis Deo
All beauty in the universe
Whether galaxies wheeling on high
Or dewy grasses ‘neath the sky
Whether the sweetest songs ever heard
Or the plumage of the fairest bird
Whether a babe's laughter in the ear
Or rain's softly falling tears
Whether the bride's first married kiss
Or waterfall into abyss
Whether a thousand shining angels fly
Or the wind in the tree's sigh
Whether the pealing of a million church bells
Or the warmest hug farewell
Whether the loudest thunder roll
Or the softest snow so cold
Whether the loveliest of stories written
Or the kindest words of a friend
All beauty in the universe
Is but the smallest fragment of
The One who rules from above
For He alone is Beauty
He is the Author of all ends

Glória in excélsis Deo
We adorate your name
For You alone are beauty
Crafting all to Your fame
You alone deserve all praise
For You alone are love
Your praises we raise
King of all beauty
And Highest Lord of Love
We sing our praises to you above
Glória in excélsis Deo

King Of Beauty
POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I was inspired to write this poem after listening to Sun - Empire of Angels vocal cover ❂ (remastered) by Pimpernal VA. If you can read the latin lyrics you may find yourself just as overwhelmed by beauty as I was. Glory be to God, the Author of beauty!
