Kite Poem by Bernard F. Asuncion

Kite

In his great desire for the zenith of glory,
he bravely faced the threat brought by the rugged wind;
flying high with no good results to know and see.

Both wings flapped in the air of feeling glad and free
to reach his goal before the beacon did descend;
in his great desire for the zenith of glory.

Underneath the lane was the high speed northerly,
crushed kite's aim, appeared to have just gone round the bend;
flying high with no good results to know and see.

He traveled the east and south points in a hurry
to still hope that his dream would never be broken;
in his great desire for the zenith of glory.

A gust of southwest breath brought force to his body,
a sudden impact its power did not rescind;
flying high with no good results to know and see.

Each attempt to touch the heaven failed totally
because of the string or the cord used to fasten.
In his great desire for the zenith of glory,
flying high with no good results to know and see.
