Mosquitoes In The Air Poem by Bernard F. Asuncion

Mosquitoes In The Air

Rating: 4.7

Mosquitoes in the air
Fly in the light of day;
They carry their needles
To suck blood from their prey.

Mosquitoes in the air
Glide in the dark of night;
They bring noise to the ears,
Inviting for a fight.

Mosquitoes in the air
Make someone's slumber sour;
The sweet sleep is broken,
Because of their buzzer.

Mosquitoes in the air
Are threats in some cases;
For they are chief vectors
Of serious diseases.

Protect your skin from bite,
Be alert and beware;
Clap your hands to erase
Mosquitoes in the air.

Dear poet, every work of art, in some way, is political by definition. This poem is no exception. I love the way you have expressed it.

Yes, mosquitoes make people's sleep sour! Their music is so jarring to the ears. They are to be kept at bay as they are the carriers of dangerous diseases! This poem I am visiting once again!

They are truly malicious creatures, scourge to man and bringer of diseases, malaria being their trademark. A wonderful poem Bernard, congratulations for poem of the day.
