Kneeling to protest
Against the worst
Kneeling to pray
Kneeling every day
To pray for peace
Kneeling against the beast
Against all ills in our society
Kneeling for liberty
For freedom of speech
For the rights to find a niche
Kneeling for the flags of peace
Kneeling to defy the beast
Kneeling against racism
Kneeling against cynicism
Kneeling against narcissism
Kneeling against recidivism
Kneeling against corruption
Kneeling against distortion
Kneeling against bigotry
Kneeling for humanity
Kneeling for our communities
Against all hypocrites and enemies
Kneeling as a form of protest
Against this terrible mess.
