Know - Yourself Poem by Dr. Antony Theodore

Know - Yourself

Rating: 5.0

The admonition ‘Know
Yourself' was carved
on the temple porta
at Delphi, as testimony
to a basic truth to be
adopted as a minimal
norm by those who
seek to set themselves
apart from the rest
of creation as
human beings,
meaning to say
human beings
know themselves.

know thyself! How? Do not know! Nobody? Maybe! is it freaking advice? if I can't control myself from wickedness then I'm illiterate and impious; if I can control fully myself from wickedness then I'm literate and pious..... isn't it the self knowing lesson? Maybe! .........
