Kolangi
Far away; in distance
Snakes road; a sort of
Suddenly birds fly
They go round in flock
"They're pigeons, "
I smiled.
I know them
Know this bird
We're friends
I love them
I hate them
(At same time)
As young man
The first one was a white
Then other, I paid, bought
Cut the wings except two
(The large ones)
Made them home
Fed them well
Forced them I
"Be couple; fall in love."
"Kolangi they'll become."
I was taught; and they did.
I kept wife in my hand
Male came begged to join her
I pulled out male's feathers
They regrew in no time
They had now, children
Man became as he was
He flew, long and high
But returned where she was
On my arm, on shoulder
It was game, it was fun.
