Krakatoa Poem by White Tiger

Krakatoa

An island as beautiful
As an emerald
Rising from the sea...

One day bellowed smoke
Then exploded
Disappearing from where it should be

There were thousands of people
Living there for years
But on that day, culminated their fears

As lava flows raced
Down its mountain side
People ran to the shore
Where eventually they died

It was an unknown island
Until that fateful day
When fire rained upon the land
And this emerald got swept away.
