Kumiko (The Delicate, Feminine And Refined) Poem by james watkin

Kumiko (The Delicate, Feminine And Refined)

One heel-size above
The uncouth sounding
Wearing of manners.
To hear as well see
With cultured leisure
Her race subdue me
Of silky tempers!

Two frock lengths over
What for coarser-spun
Blotched virtue shows through.
To touch as well laud
With unassumed right
Her realm palely stored
In cheek's blossom-hue!
