L'arbre A Ma Fenetre.(Translation) . Poem by Michael Walker

L'arbre A Ma Fenetre.(Translation) .

L'arbre a ma fenetre, l'arbre de fenetre,
Mon chassis est tire en bas quand la nuit s'approche;

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
See Poem Hunter, Robert Frost,184/191 for the original English.
The poet has a close rapport with the tree outside his window: he won't draw the curtain between the tree and himself. Even the tree talks aloud but not profoundly-personification. Strong winds have taken and tossed the tree, just as he felt tossed about almost lost, when asleep. The last two lines come out better in English. The tree is concerned with the weather outside: he with the weather (ie. mood)inside himself. Extremely good imagery, and a feeling of intimacy with the tree.
