La Luna My Friend Poem by Napa Napa

The dark is where I find safety.

Free from pain and greed.

Only in the darkness does the noise stop,

And peace can finally be felt.

You sit in the night free but not alone.

For La Luna occupies you as a friend.

A warm touch of hope.

The beauty shines on you like a blanket of worriers.

They guard you against your demons.

You can breathe again!

You can feel alive again!

A burden lifted off your shoulders,

A hug to heal your wounds from battle.

Only one can wish is to stay forever, in her grasp,

To know dawn will be here soon.

So here I will sit resting in her arms.

Until Morning comes then my Wars will begin.
