My Friend! Poem by Napa Napa

My Friend!

The small creatures of the dark.

They are feared by many but loved by few.

He keeps me company in my darkest moment.

Hardly ever seen.

The fluffy demeanor of their bodies is welcoming and for our purpose.

They live alone waiting for a friend.

Their small patter's heard across the floor, put fear in many souls.

A friend of mine. To be alone no more.

They bring me joy with every patter of each of their legs.

I extend my soul to my little creatures of the night.

In my home, they are welcomed with open arms and warm touch.

To be protected, loved, cuddled, and understood.

All 8 legs rapped softly around my soul,

So tight never to let go.

Their eyes are full of fear of those who hate them.

My friends of the dark you are safe with me.

My loving spiders of the deep!
