Ils viennent toujours a moi.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Poem Hunter/ A. Mitchell/ poems/ 6/14.
This a sincere, touching poem about love of a son for his parents who have passed away.his parents died some years ago. His love for them did not fade away, it just became 'a sadder colour'. In turn, his parents still love him the same.
Sometimes he asks his father and mother to walk beside him or sit down together and talk. They always do.
They talk like old times and he concludes that their post-death association is nothing to do with religion, spiritualism, or any mumbo jumbo. It is imaginary yet real and 'It is love'.
It is a refreshing change to read about a different kind of love-for your parents. I felt grief when my parents died many years ago, and the emotion was intense for quite a while, but gradually became less strong. Of course I still remember them with love.
COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Rajnish Manga 29 November 2018

It shows the importance of parents in the life of the poet- when they were alive as well as after they passed away. Images of parents still visiting him is heart touching. Thank you, Michael, for sharing the translation plus the Poet's Notes.
