Laborate Est Orare Poem by Ramona Thompson

Laborate Est Orare

Laborate est orate
To labor is to pray
Young woman as you push forth a new life into this world
What do you think?
What do you wish and hope for?
Do you believe that this new little person can be molded?
Molded to walk in the footsteps of our holy father above?
Or shall this tiny babe grow to be just another solider in Satan's already too powerful army?
Another Rosemary's baby?
Another failure on the part of the church to rise up and strike down that evil?
Strike down that evil which is threatening to quickly spin out of control
Slowly consuming our world
Slowly consuming us one and all
Abortion, murder and other crimes of the flesh are againest our beliefs
Yet still we fear
We still fear there may come a day when we shall have to make that ulimate sacrifice
Smothering young babes before they even come out of the womb
Forcing every last healthy breeding women into abstience submission
Will that truely be the only hope we have left?
The only hope we have left to save this wanton disasterous world from its self?
God we pray it never comes to that
