Identity, dignity and respect,
Given.
With it shown not to hesitate,
Who should receive them.
Or anticipate a returning,
This to expect to get.
Some perceive the doing,
Is on the surface to impress.
Having no depth connected.
Yet...
Anyone who has experienced,
A surviving neglect.
And the effects of negativity.
Done to do with thoughtlessness.
Selfishness.
To then be taught,
Valued lessons unexpected to learn.
Eventually learns them to earn,
What it takes to evaluate...
Oneself.
When that time God arrives.
To make a test thought impossible to pass.
By giving one the task,
Not to take blessings...
One believes born to receive.
To forget what has been given.
Until one is made to sit,
Regretting what they have done to others.
And this...
Lesson to learn,
May require the losing of things...
Thought to own and possess,
To disappear overnight.
Leaving God only left to ask why?
And this when it happens,
One begins to realize...
God 'giveth' and God takes 'awayeth',
Quick!
Identity, dignity and respect to give.
No one should lack these attributes.
Shown not to hesitate,
Who should receive these qualities.
To have earned them from lessons learned.
But...
There are so many,
Left to leave misunderstanding...
Why it is in 'their' best interest,
To do it.
Or at least attempt the effort.
Before enforced to ask God,
Why it is...
Everytime they seem to turn around,
They find either a dead-end road.
Blocking their path to pass it.
Or a brick wall to face.
"God?
Why me?
Have I not been faithful?
Have I not been thoughtful,
And caring of others? "
