Lacking Not A Little Boy's Need

Rating: 4.0

Lacking not a little boy's need
In strength of friends to hide
For companionship I still leant
Against a fir tree's side.

Wide smiled for what twas given him
Of world's joy to partake
Lone-slipped of it, he'd yet light up
For wonder's own daybreak!

As o'er itsfenced round experience;
A neighbourhood's entire.
Where the bonds of a far-hilled peace
Spoke best to one shyer!
