Ladybug Poem by Manager Poet

Ladybug

It’s Friday and I’m driving my 4Runner to work.
Travel mug in hand, I enjoy life’s simple perk.
I park my gas guzzling SUV and begin to walk.
My eyes focus on the top of my cup like a hawk.

To my surprise, a tiny ladybug rests atop my cup.
A wonder of God takes the time to look up.
As I gaze at the ladybug, I feel an inner peace.
You see, I’ve felt this before without cease.

Ladybugs are such an interesting little creature.
In fact, 'In a Bug’s Life, ' one was in the feature.
Around the world Coccinellids seem to thrive.
They are useful insects that help gardens survive.

Some believe if one lands on you it brings good luck.
All I know is that it brought joy to this old buck.
One more line and I’ll leave the poem with you.
What does the sight of a ladybug evoke in you?
