Lanyard, Firewater And Deficiency

I'm not sure if that's what it's called -
you won't find its picture below
because I can't be bothered to sleuth -
but the cord around your neck,
with your name suspending from it,
is a lanyard, in truth.

I am sure however -
because I sleuthed it -
that 'firewater', in Spain,
sounds like ah-gwah-dyen'tah.

This morning in my 'Inferno' translation -
therefore of extremely recent time -
I discovered that 'ever' and 'dyen'tah'
are examples of deficient rhyme.
