Last Goodbye Poem by nancy kathleen elardo

Last Goodbye

I wouldn't pretend there's nothing wrong
Because I lost a part of my song
I can still pretend that everything's fine
Until you declared - you can never be mine.

It's hard to be fine even for a while
Because every single pain stole my smile
But everything that happened is a lesson to be learned
And every tear i wasted is a picture to be burned.

No more expectations - no more hopes nor dreaming
No more time to cry nor to keep on wishing
Nothing left to wait for - nothing left to try
All I need is a single chance to say my last GOODBYE.

I wouldn't be this strong if you didn't break my heart
It wouldn't have to end this way if i can't make a start
I wouldn't smile despite the tears - if I was not that strong
I would regret & curse myself - if loving you was wrong.

And then one day when everything's clear
There's no more pain nor a singe tear
You'll see me smile and then you'll say..
'WHY DID I LET HER GO AWAY? '
