Late At Night - Poem by Lily Espinosa
Its late at night and I'm thinking of you,
Your soft eyes and sweet smile
Won't leave my mind,
Not that I mind so much.
Thoughts of you comfort me, even when everything else goes wrong.
Overheated fingers ease over the keyboard
As I picture your face in my head.
I'll keep thinking of these things you do, to make me
Images of you obscure my view, disrupt my state of consciousness,
But I don't complain,
I just hope that soon enough,
These daydreams become my memories.
